Chapter Nine | Reopening Old Wounds

Morgan's Point of View

"Babe?" Chris said holding me in his arms as we laid on the couch. "I've only met one person in your family and that's Angie. I wanna meet the people who raised you and Angie... your parents." my smile kind of faded. I sat up and looked at him. "somethin wrong?" He asked me. "ummm no, sure you can meet my parents." I gave a half smile. I got up and ran upstairs and put on my shoes, I was wearing a pair of my favorite shorts and a t-shirt. Chris was fully clothed. "Put some shoes on and let's go." He gave me a look. "Already?" "yeah, let's go." He shrugged and went upstairs and put some shoes on. We hopped in my car, I pulled out of the driveway and drove off. Chris noticed I was kind of down. "You okay baby?" I looked at him. "I'm fine." "you sure?" "yeah, I'm good." "okayyyy." I continued driving.

We arrived at out location and Chris noticed something very wrong. "Babe... this is a cemetery. "I know." I grabbed his hand and led him to where my mom and dad were buried. "Chris, these are my parents." I said not smiling. He didn't know what to say. "Baby, I'm so sorry, I didn't know." "It's okay." I pecked his lips and sat in front of the graves. Chris sat next to me and put his arm around me. "Morgan, what happened? I mean if you don't wanna tell me, it's cool." "Drive by..." I said wiping a tear. "Angie and I were out back inside of my old playhouse playing with our dolls and tea sets and just having fun..." I swallowed. "Take your time babe." Chris said as he rubbed my back as my voice started to crack. "I was 10, Angie was 12... next thing I know, gunshots rang out, 15 minutes passed by before it stopped." By this time the tears were pouring. "Angie and I ran out of the playhouse and into the house... I screamed, because there was my mother on the floor... in a pool of blood and a few feet away was my daddy... in a pool of blood." I started rocking back and forth, and the next thing I know I was on the ground in front of my parents' tombstones crying my eyes out. Chris cradled me in his arms as I cried. I felt a teardrop on my shoulder, which indicated Chris shed a few tears. I never really talked about my parents, on one hand it hurts... but on the other hand it felt good to get it off my chest. I miss my parents so much, I wish they were here.

Chapter Ten | The New Guy

Angelina's Point of View

It had been a while since Trey and I broke up and to tell you the truth I'm over him, completely... he chose a whore over a real woman... that's his problem. How do I know she's a whore, well I just saw her with some latin dude at the mall showin major P.D.A. kissin, and touchin, and huggin. What can I say... what goes around comes around, karma's a bitch isn't it Trey? Anyway after I walked away from the food court where they were, I walked into a shoe store looking for some shoes for Morgan's birthday... yep my sister is turning the big 2-1, her and Chris are only 4 months apart. "You need some help find anything?" I turned around to see a vision of sexiness,
I mean he was tall, caramel complexion, sexy lips, gorgeous brown eyes... Angie focus... "um, I was looking for a gift for my sister... it's her 21st birthday tomorrow and she absolutely loves Christian Louboutin and Louis Vuitton shoes, she can't live without them." He laughed, his smile is so gorgeous. "Well, we just got several pairs of both of those brands in this mornin." He led me to that section and my eye instantly locked onto a pair of bad ass Christian Louboutin boots. "Those and... those Louis Vuittons over there, she's a size 5." He grabbed them and asked me if there's anything else and I said that was it. I paid for them and was about to leave. "I hope you don't think I'm too forward for sayin this, but you have beautiful eyes." I blushed. "Thank you." I saw him write down something on the back of the receipt. "Have a nice day." He said and winked. "You too." I said as I turned and walked out. Too bad for Trey, he lost a good one, and now someone else is about to take his place. I got into my car and took the receipt out of the bag and looked at the back... so his name Carnell. I know you're thinking why didn't I look at his name tag? I was too busy looking at him... hehe.

I got home and saw my sister's car there. She does have a key to my house and vice versa. "Shit! I have to hide these fast." I thought to myself. So I parked and got out of the car and went straight around to the back and inside through the back door. I ran up to my room and quickly hid my sister's gifts and made my way back outside and through the front door. Why all of this madness? I want her to be surprised, I can't have her asking me what did I buy and my having to make up a lie. "hey Angie!" "hey sis!" We hugged and she noticed a piece of paper in my pocket. "What's that?" Oh shit, it's the receipt from the shoes I bought her but I flipped it on the back and folded it so that Carnell's number was showing. "I met someone." Her eyes lit up. "tell me about him... tell me, tell me, tell me." She said getting excited. "Okay okay, well I met him at the mall. Oh and guess who I saw there?" "who." "Trey's hoe, all up on some latin dude tonguin him down every chance she got." "damn, did she see you?" "no, but anyway, his name is Carnell, he's tall, caramel complexion, dark brown eyes, sexy lips." "Okay, if you didn't say his name first, I would've thought you wans describin Chris." We laughed. "you crazy, anyway we kind of flirted and he gave me his number." "ooo, my sister bout to get herself a new boo." I turned red. I put his number in my phone. "I gotta head out, some of the other girls wanna take me to Red Robin for my birthday." "okay, leter sis." "bye." She left, she has no clue what's in store for her tomorrow, it's her big day and she is gonna be really surprised.

Nighttime fell and I was ready to hit the sack. I got into bed and fell fast asleep with a smile on my face. Today was a wonderful day.
